The Journey of Bright Futures Kenya

Salamu kutika Kenya! My name is Hollie and I come from Sydney, Australia. I arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, with a simple goal to teach, but I quickly discovered many children who could not afford to be in school.

While visiting slum districts, I saw the stark difference between children attending school—especially when lunches were provided—and those who had to remain home.

Upon seeing the children who had been sponsored to go to school, I noticed they now had school uniforms, shoes, and textbooks, and that food was provided to keep them sustained throughout the school day. The difference between the children attending school and those not attending was significant.
